CHANNAR PULI/PANEER GULAB JAMUN/FOR MY SPECIAL FRIEND VIJETHA

It was  a draft post which is in sleep mode for a month...Almost every week I checking out the preview of this recipe and don`t know why I postponed all the time..Ya..This is the recipe which I tried for my friend who is called Vijetha..Her birthday was on august 28th and the same week I made this jamuns to wish her through my blog. But,some how missed up..OK..It was past...and better to talk about present...

The only friend of mine is vijetha here in Brasil..She invited few times to home when I was new to this place..After that we became a good friends, actually she is very friendly and also very talkitive person like me.so we both never  feels bore in spending time. She is also a very good  best cook and she cooks non vegetarian wonderfully.Even when I was new to cooking(here) I asked about day to day cooking recipes with lots of silly doubts and she explained very much with patience.Still Iam asking ;).She loves cooking and likes to experiment very much..not only in food, she also forced and created FB personal page for me.(she is the reason behind my FB addiction).I forced her very much to start a blog but she is not interested.Presently we both are in different cities and through FB we are in touch. She loves my kids very much and she respects friends too..When I asked about her favourite sweets she said gulab jamuns and kala jamuns and soon I  tried this jamuns.

Vijetha.Happy birthday wishes belatedly Dear

CATEGORY-DESSERTS/SWEETS
RECIPE SOURCE-Gayatrivantillu
PREPARATION TIME-20 MNS
COOKING TIME-1 HOUR

WHAT YOU NEED

Condensed milk-100 gms
home made paneer( I used ricotta cheese)-125 gms
maida/all purpose flour - 3 1/2 tbsp
baking powder-1/4 tsp
ghee-1/2 tbsp

oil-for deep fry

FOR SYRUP

sugar-2 cups
water-1 1/2 cups

HOW TO COOK

Mix water and sugar in a bowl and heat on..add cardamom powder and let it boil..Once sugar syrup is done keep the bowl  in rice cooker bowl and put it in warm mode..

Grind into fine which given above-from condensed milk to ghee. This should be sticky and loose.

Then keep the ground mix bowl in fridge for some time..after that remove out and start shaping balls.

Heat oil for deep fry..and fry balls 5-6 at a time and load pan with too many balls.

Keep flame in medium always and fry very carefully.Once done, change these fried jamuns into sugar syrup..

Your jamuns are ready..After 1-2 hours serve them for a best taste.

MAHAS NOTES

First time I poured extra/some more  condensed milk and turned paneer batter like syrup little bit..So,you should be careful while adding..

Refrigerating  for some times is easy to shape the balls..

If the mixture is too thicky add 1-2 tsps of maida..

Sugar which I used is not too sweet in taste. So used 2 full cups..

Using fresh home made paneer tastes best for this recipe.but I used ricotta cheese and came out well too.

Need lots of patience to fry the jamuns well..If the heat is high, jamuns may change the colour out side.but inside they will be raw..

Those kind of uncooked jamuns may not absorb the sugar syrup and over all your work will be flop.

PAALAKOVA/PAL KOVA/MILK KOVA WITH JAGGERY/MILK SWEETS

paalkova with jaggery

HAPPY KRISHNASHTAMI TO ALL MAHASLOVELYHOME READERS,FRIENDS N WELL WISHERS!!!

MY TWO LITTLE KRISHNAS

On this festival I would like to share a famous, simple and delicious sweet  recipe PALAKOVA....Paal kova is a milk sweet which need only 3 ingredients to make...Authentic Paal kova recipe use sugar..But,here I used both jaggery and sugar and the result was really delicious...You can see the pictures for the colour..Paal kova which used sugar looks in light brown in colour. But,this is very dark in colour because of using jaggery..Making paal kova need lots of time and need much more patience to stand near the stove...I`ll give a tip-If you plan to make this prepare every thing in the morning to cook for lunch, then cook one side your daily food, keep the milk bowl other side..While cooking you can stir milk  easily in between..I kept the milk bowl on one flame another side I made Murukus..

Milk halwa with jaggery and sugar

Milk sweet lovers must try this recipe at least once..Your hard work will result in the form luscious paalkova..Use full cream milk if possible..I used full cream milk.According to the sweet ness levels of jaggery adjust the quantity if you want to try. This pal kova tasted very sweet because, jaggery was very sweet in taste.Other wise go with 1 CUP OF SUGAR and don`t add jaggery..Stirring continuously is very important, otherwise it will burn from bottom.Use very big,non stick bowl and wooden spoon. You can also add saffron if you have..Remember one thing, these kind of milk n sugar based sweets upwards your weight..Eat less  n enjoy more..Finally,Try this delightful dessert one fine day when you are in energetic mode and enjoy heavenly...Now,to the Recipe......

But here except Mahadhip the other Two ppl (DH n MAHADEV) such a different persons.. even they don`t like to taste it...Still Iam happy because i have my little one to share who is sweet tooth like mom.....I like to try mostly milk  sweets and enjoys really while doing...I can say that Iam good in making sweets/desserts and specially payasams...But 0 knowledge in Non-Veg sec..So,In which you are the best??Let me know guys!!!!!!

Accidentally I tried this Sandesh.. Last week actually I forgotten using milk after it was opened..After 2 days when I boiled the milk started separating whey and water..first I was disappointed and later decided to try any sweet with that paneer.. So,without any late I searched out the INGS which are available in my pantry and finally tried this Sandesh with Paneer home made and  using milk powder...

I think every one have their own style of cooking and taking Pictures....With the result was of the Recipe  I was so happy and So excited in clicking too..I took almost more than 100 pics and many of them are good..But With a limit Iam posting here only few...This is one of the favourite post of mine in the March...The pics are tempting me again.Huh....SO,finally off to the Recipe....

CATEGORY:SWEETS/PANEER/MILK POWDER
PREPARATION TIME- 15 MIN
COOKING TIME-15 MIN

WHAT YOU NEED

Grated paneer - 1 Cup
Sugar- 1/2Cup
Milk powder-1/2Cup
maida/All purpose flour-1/4Cup
Cardamom powder-1Tsp
Ghee-2 Tsps
Cashew pieces- few

HOW TO COOK

In  a mixy jar take paneer, sugar, milk powder, maida, cardamom powder and grind into a smooth paste...

No need to run the mixy for long time..It may take only a minute or just two runs..

Now heat ghee in a thick bottomed kadai and discard this paneer mix into it ad start stirring....

Keep the flame in low and stir without giving a break..

When the mixture starts leaving pan off flame and tip this into ghee greased plate..

Give some time to cool and when the time you can touch apply little bit ghee to your palms and start making round shaped balls or flattened and stick a cashew or almond piece on top....

Serve warm or cold.....In both ways tastes awesome....

: MEASUREMENTS ARE GIVEN EXACTLY HOW I USED..SO,NO DOUBTS TO TRY..;-)

MAHAS NOTES

I used home made paneer and home made is the best to try this Recipe..

I think sugar can replace with condensed milk.

I used very less ghee..If you like increase 2 two more spoons.

Cardamom gives a nice flavour.. so,don`t skip it......
