Palak Gravy with Potato Paneer Koftas | Paneer Aloo kofta Spinach Gravy | paneer potato kofta in spinach gravy | Step by step pictures


CATEGORY- GRAVIES/PANEER KOFTA PALAK GRAVY
PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

palak puree-1 cup (I used frozen spinach)
onion-1 
tomato puree-1/2 cup
red chili powder-2 tsps
salt-to taste
turmeric powdre-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
full cream milk-1/4 cup
paneer kofats-5-6 
oil-2 tbsp
cumin-1 tsp
cinnamon stick-1 inch


HOW TO COOK

Heat pan with iol and fry cumin,cinnamon..Then add chopped onion,GGP and saute until brown.. 

Then add tomato puree and mix well..After 2 minutes add spinach puree and mix well..After 3-4 minutes add all spice powders and mix well..Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame..Then add garam masala and mix it..

When the gravy mix starts leaving pan from sides add milk and mix carefully..Let it cook for few minutes and turn off..

Before serving add koftas and serve hot with rotis/pulkas.

Stuffed brinjal masala with peanuts and sesame seeds/baingan masala/south indian popular masala stuffed baby brinjal gravy/step by step pictures


CATEGORY- VEG GRAVIES/ SOUTH INDIAN VEG GRAVIES
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

baby egg plants/brinjals-8-10
red chili powder-to taste
salt
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
oil-2 tbsp
curry leaves-few
dry red chili-2
tamarind pulp/paste-2-3 tbsp

TO ROAST AND GRIND

oil-1 tbsp
onion-1 small
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
poppy seeds-2 tsp
sesame seeds-2 tsp
coconut powder-1 tbsp
peanuts-2 tbsp
cumin seeds-1tsp
coriander seeds-1 tsp


HOW TO COOK 

Heat pan with oil and roast all the ingrdients in pan by adding one by one which given under "TO ROAST AND GRIND"

Saute for 1-2 minutes and grind into fine smooth paste by adding some (around 1/2 cup) water.

Wash brinjals well and make deep slits lengthwise..Soak in salt water to avoid changing color..Now heat on another fresh pan with oil and saute brinjals until turns tender n soft..

Add 1 more tbsp oil and add red chili,curry leaves..Add fried brinjals and saute well.Then add ground masala paste n tamarind paste.Add around 1/2-3/4 cup water and mix every thing and cover the pan n cook for 15 minutes in low flame.

Serve hot with white rice or rotis..

Mushroom coconut milk masala/Mushroom masala for rotis/step by step pictures


Mushroom is my favorite..Hmm...But,DH don`t likes it except in soups..Why??god matches,opposite minded people??Hahahaha..But,he never interfers in cooking/kitchen matters..Lucky na...Ok.Ok...Let`s talk about this recipe...I cooked this last week and served with rotis...Here I used coconut milk for rich taste and remaining recipe is simple...Coconut  milkgives rich taste to the dish and use good quality always..You can add tomato puree instead of chopped pieces..Always use ripe tomatoes in this kind of gravy dishes..Mushroom likers must try it.Iam sure you will love it..


CATEGORY-VEG GRAVIES
PREPARATION TIME- 15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-20 MINUTES

WHAT YOU NEED

Mushrooms sliced-1 1/2 cups I used canned
onion-1 big
tomatoes-2 big soft n ripe
ginger garlic paste-2 tsp
coconut milk-1 1/2 cup (200 grams)
salt
red chili powder
turmeric powder-1 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
cumin+coriander Powders-1+1 tsp
dry kasoori methi leaves-1 tbsp
cilantro leaves fresh n finely chopped -2 tbsp
oil-2-3 tbsp
cumin-1 tsp
fennel seeds-1 tsp
cloves-3
cardamom-1


HOW TO COOK

Heat oil and saute fennel seeds,cumin,cloves and cardamom..Then add chopped onions and saute til soft..

Then add very finely chopped tomatoes and mix..Now add all spice powders.salt,red chili powder,turmeric,ginger garlic paste..Mix all every thing well and cook for 2-3 minutes..

Once after turning mushy add drained sliced mushrooms and combine every thing..Cook for 5 minutes in high flame..

Now add coconut milk and stir well..Cook it for 10 minutes in low flame...

Then add kasoori methi and stir it.After 2 minutes turn off and throw cilantro leaves.

Serve hot iwth rotis/pulkas.

Okra cashew masala/simple Bhindi cashew masala gravy/easy vegetarian side dishes for rice/Step b step pictures/Mahas own recipes

PREPARATION TIME- 30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 20 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

 cashew-12-15
 milk-1/3 cup
oil-2 tbsp
onions-1 big
tomato-1 big
red chili powder-1 tsp
garam masala -1 tsp
salt
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
 fennel seeds-1 tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP
okra-15-18
cilantro leaves- few



HOW TO COOK

Soak cashew in milk fro 15 minutes and grind into fine paste..Heat skillet with oil and saute fennel seeds.

Then saute onions and til soft and add finely chopped tomato..Mix once..Add red chili powder,salt,turmeric powder,GGP and mix..Cook this fro 2 minutes and add finely copped okra..

Cook this for 5 minutes or until okra turns soft in low flame by closing with lid..Then add ground cashew paste and stir once..

Close with lid and cook for 5 more minutes in low flame..Add garam masala finally and combine well.Turn off and throw some fresh cilantro leaves.

Serve with rotis.rice/pulkas/parathas.

 Hi every one...Hope you all doing good..Today Iam going to share an interesting combination recipe which is very spicy and perfectly goes with rotis parathas.If you are true non vegetarian or a shrimp lover then undoubtedly try this recipewhich brings a smile on your face..Do you ever imagined this combination??I know,surely you may not..This is the one if the innovative  combination dish which perfectly matched well.Prawns are DH favorite and kids too love this..Even though I don`t eat prawns,like to cook for my sweet hearts..Unexpectedly I fused this two main ingredients and it came out very well.It is very spicy in taste and rich because of coconut milk.Try this next time and Iam sure you will enjoy...


CATEGORY-NON-VEG/MAIN COURSE/CURRIES
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Prawns medium size(de veined)-15
okra/bhendi-12
onion-1 big
tomato-1 big
coconut milk-1/4 cup
red chili powder
salt
coriander+cumin powders-1/2 tsp+1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
lemon juice-1 tsp
kasoori methi-1 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
cilantro leaves-few

oil-1 tbsp
cumin-1 tsp
cardamom pods-1
cloves-2
cinnamon stick-1 inch
fennel seeds-1 tsp


HOW TO COOK

Clean prawns and keep aside..Wash and wipe okra with cloth..Chop into 1 inch size pieces.Heat a pan with oil and add ingredients which are given under *oil*

Now add chopped onion and enough salt..Saute til soft and add tomato..Mix well..Then add okra and mix carefully.

After a minute add in all spice powders-red chili+coriander+cumin powders,salt,GGP and give a good stir..Cook for 5 minutes in low flame and add prawns.

close with lid and cook for 5-8 minutes in medium flame..Add in coconut milk and stir it once.Then finally add garam masala and kasoori methi..Mix it well every thing.

After cooking 5 more minutes in low flame OR til prawns cooked finely, add cilantro leaves and turn off.
