Raw Mango Rasam | Green Mango Rasam | Mamidikaya Rasam | Pachhi Mamidikaya Charu | Quick and easy Veg side dishes for Rice


It is a very simple rasam with raw mango..In season can make this version often to enjoy mango taste if your Mango lover (like me).. better you should raw mango which is completely tangy in taste.So,before going to start,check out the taste and then proceed..It goes well with white rice along with some dry curry or with potato fry...


CATEGORY- VEG SIDE DISHES FOR RICE
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES


WHAT YOU NEED

Raw (green) mango -1 big
salt- to taste

TO TEMPER/TADKA/POPU

Oil-2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1.2 tsp
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
hing/inguva podi-2-3 pinches
dry red chili-4-5
curry leaves-5-6
cilantro leaves-few



HOW TO COOK

Wash,peel skin and chop mango into pieces..Pressure cook with 1/2 cup of water for 10 minutes in medium flame.

Turn off and let it cool,then using potato whisker mash it roughly.Now turn on heat under a non stick pan..Add oil and prepare "popu" by adding all the ingredients which mentioned above..

Saute well and mango mixture..Add around 3/4 -1 cup water to make it thin/for rasam consistency..Add salt as per your taste..

Turn off after 5 minutes..throw some cilantro leaves and serve hot with white rice along with some curry and chutney..

GREEN CAPSICUM COCONUT CHUTNEY-2 / GREEN BELL PEPPER CHUTNEY/ EASY CHUTNEY RECIPES FOR WHITE RICE


A quick and easy chutney recipe iam introducing today and tasty one too.senyumi like the green colour.jelir.and this chutney looks so cool in green colour.......peluk....and tastes simply superb when served with rice....cium.......so,please try this and comment....tepuktangan...

Ingredients

capsicum-1/4kg or 5small size
tamarind-2tsps
onions-2small
garlic cloves-5
fresh coconut pieces-1cup
oil-3 tbsps

TO TEMPER
oil-1 tbsp
mustard-1 tsp
curry leaves-1sprig
urad dal/black gram-1 tsp

Preparation
chop the onions and capsicum....
dry roast the coconut pieces in a kadai ...........
add in oil fry the capsicum,onions and garlic well........
after cools grind along with coconut pieces by adding salt and tamarind into a fine paste.........
now put the temper with given items and add in the chutney......
serve with hot rice.........

NOTE
you can serve this with idly and dosa too...............

This is the post which is in draft from last 2-3 months I think..Don`t know why..few posts makes me lazy to write/ post and they sit  in draft for months..Not only this,I have more than 10 recipes in draft still. Nowadays,Iam cooking 2-3 recipes in a day and taking step wise pictures too..These days,more than food pictures/food photogrpahy Iam concentrated on recipes and just clicking the final recipe with simple presentation..If the light is much enough,the picture will get a clarity.So,Just taking care of light and brightness..So,Now you can imagine how many recipes I have to work out..Hahahaa..Some times,my anxiety forcing me to post more than 2 recipes in a day but,still thinking to decide..I want to make FB page of Mahaslovelyhome popular..Hope,soon it will get good applause..


Ingredients

Pressure cooked chickpeas-1 cup
red chili powder-1 tsp or 2 tsps
salt- to taste
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
onion-1 small

Oil-2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin-1 tsp
urad dal-1 tsp
hing/asafoetida-2-3 pinches
dry red chili-2-3



METHOD

Heat pan and add oil..Fry ingredients which given under oil and throw finely chopped onions..

Next add chickpeas and mix well..Now add all spice powders and combine every thing.. saute for 5 minutes in low flame..

Serve hot along with hot tea...

Easy tamarind rasam for rice | Tamarind charu | andhra style tamarind rasam


pokpokPachhi pulusu is very simple and easy to do.but tastes great.with a small variations i did this...It is perfect with hot white rice along with any curry or fry

Ingredients

tamarind paste-2 tbsp
onion-1small
red chilli powder-1tsp
salt-to taste
fried sesame powder-2 tsps
cilantro leaves few -to garnish

TO TEMPER

oil-1tbsp
mustard seeds -1/2tsp
cumin-1tsp
dry red chilli-3 or 4
curry leaves-1o
hing/inguva-a pinch

Preparation

1.add 2cups of water in the tamarind paste and keep it aside.if you are using tamarind pulp soak in water for few minutes and using water squeeze out the juice
2.chop onions finely and add to tamarind water.
3.dry fry the sesame seeds and make it into a fine powder and add to the water along with red chilli powder.
4.now heat a kadai make temper using under tempering ingredients and to the water.
5.add salt+cilantro serve with rice.
5.keep it in fridge and drink. its like a sharbath too.

TOMATO GARLIC CHUTNEY

This is tomato chutney with garlic..i have so many chutney recipes in my mind.so,i`l post soon the some more chutney recipes..just wait for some time my friends.and this one is so tasty..check it..

Ingredients
tomatoes-4med size
garlic-15
green chillies-8
salt- to taste
oil-1tsp

TO TEMPER
oil-1tsp
mustard-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
urad dal-1tsp
chanadal-1tsp
curryleaves-2springs
hing-1/4tsp
dry red chilli-1

Preparation
1.heat oil in a kadai add garlic and fry it for 3min.
2.add in tomato and green chillies and mix it well.you can add dry red chilies too as per your choice.
3.now add salt and cook til the tomato soft.cool it..and grind it in a mixy jar.
4.now in 1tsp of oil add tempering items under the tables and add it to the grinded tomato paste.
5.serve with hot rice with a spoon of ghee..goes well with idly and dosa too........
