abobora paulista (pumpkin São Paulo) is one of the popular vegetable in brasil which you can see the whole year in super markets..I have observed different sizes and shapes of pumpkins but all belongs to same family..Though its a good vegetable to use/cook never even thinked to try any recipes fluently..I have posted very long time a simple pumpkin kheer recipe and pumpkin honey muffins which are my own creation.After that almost I forgotten about big and hard veggie.

Easy tamarind rasam for rice | Tamarind charu | andhra style tamarind rasam


pokpokPachhi pulusu is very simple and easy to do.but tastes great.with a small variations i did this...It is perfect with hot white rice along with any curry or fry

Ingredients

tamarind paste-2 tbsp
onion-1small
red chilli powder-1tsp
salt-to taste
fried sesame powder-2 tsps
cilantro leaves few -to garnish

TO TEMPER

oil-1tbsp
mustard seeds -1/2tsp
cumin-1tsp
dry red chilli-3 or 4
curry leaves-1o
hing/inguva-a pinch

Preparation

1.add 2cups of water in the tamarind paste and keep it aside.if you are using tamarind pulp soak in water for few minutes and using water squeeze out the juice
2.chop onions finely and add to tamarind water.
3.dry fry the sesame seeds and make it into a fine powder and add to the water along with red chilli powder.
4.now heat a kadai make temper using under tempering ingredients and to the water.
5.add salt+cilantro serve with rice.
5.keep it in fridge and drink. its like a sharbath too.
