SORREL LEAVES CHUTNEY | GONGURA PACHADI | CHUTNEYS | CHUTNEYS FOR DOSA N IDLI

One more easy and quick making chutney recipe here goes for you all......Hope you like it.try it once and let me know....plz.......

Ingredients

sorrel leaves chopped-3 cups
green chilli-4-6
tomato-1 medium size
onion-1 big
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
ginger chopped-2 tsp
garlic cloves-3
cumin-1 tsp
bengal gram/chana dal-1 tsp
oil-1 tbsp

Preparation

Heat pan with oil.add in chana dal,cumin fry little bit..

add in chopped onions,green chilli,ginger and garlic and fry well.....

add in sorrel leaves and tomato chopped,turmeric and cook til soft......

When it cools grind in a jar....serve with hot rice/dosa/idlys...

CILANTRO PEANUT CHUTNEY


I usually make cilantro chutney and peanut chutney.sengihnampakgigi.......one day i saw this combination chutney in a cookery show.kenyit.i was impressed....and as soon as i tried it.....chutneys with hot steaming rice and a spoon ghee is a great combination na..senyumkenyit.....I just love this plate of meals...... anyway please please who loves chutneys like me give a try this....cium....and iam sure you people will remember me while having ur meals.......rindu



Ingredients

cilantro leaves chopped-2 bunches/3cups(approx)
peanuts-1cup
green chilli-4
red chilli-1
coriander seeds-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
urad dal/black gram-1tsp
hing-1 pinch
salt-to taste
oil-2tsps

Preparation

heat a kadai with oil add in cumin,black gram,hing,red chilli saute this for 30secs..........

add in green chilli,coriander,peanuts and fry for 3-5 minutes........

let it cool and grind into a fine paste.......

serve with rice or rotis.......

I tried this brinjal chutney in my kitchen for the first time...rindu.......i added milk for rich taste in the chutney...senyumkenyit....when iam doing this iam not at all sure about the taste...kenyit....after tasted with rice oh!!my god!!!it just so good..sengihnampakgigi.........hope you guys will like this.......love....

CILANTRO CHUTNEY/KOTTIMEERA CHUTNEY

This is one of my favourite chutney.............this goes well with rice and even rotis too.........here the recipe ..check this and try it out.............iam sure....you will love this..........

Ingredients
cilantro--2 bunches
green chilli-6
salt-to taste

TO TEMPER
oil-3tsps
mustard-1/2tsp
cumin-1/2tsp
red chilli-1
garlic cloves-2
curry leaves-1spring


Preparation
heat 2tsps of oil and fry the chopped chillies and cilantro leaves.........let it cool
now grind this into fine paste........
in the same kadai heat a tsp of oil and temper with items by adding one by one........and mix with chutney...........
thats it.........tasty cilantro is ready to serve...........
have it with hot rice or roti.......

CAPSICUM COCONUT CHUTNEY

Usually we prefers gravies and curries with capsicum..sengihnampakgigi......but this time i decided to make some different and tasty chutney....senyum..for a crunchy taste i added coconut pieces.lapar.......i cant explain in words how tastes it was.senyumkenyit.don`t be afraid friends.jeliriam saying that it was just awesome...menari.....so..why late......... jump in the recipe list........

Ingredients
capsicum finely chopped-1cup
coconut finely chopped-3/4cup
red chilli-4
salt- to taste
tamarind paste-11/2tsp
oil-2tsps
coriander seeds-3tsps
cumin-1tsp
Preparation
heat oil in kadai and fry the cumin,coriander seeds and red chilli....
after cools grind into fine powder along with coconut pieces...........
in the same pan fry the capsicum pieces by adding salt.......
when the capsicum turns to soft grind once again along with grinded coconut mixture.......
take this in a bowl and serve with hot rice with a tsp ghee......
NOTE
no need add temper..but if want add it..
coriander seeds gives a nice flavour...........
use always fresh coconut...not dry one............

This is very simple and tangy chutneysenyum. we need very simple ingredients which we use in our day today kitchen..You can add temper if you want..but this time i skipped it for a changekenyit..even it tastes good.here it is..check it guys...

SORAKAYA TOKKU PACHHADI/BOTTLE GUARD SKIN CHUTNEY

Can you guess that with skin of the bottle gourd also we can prepare a tasty dish..YES!!! we can prepare..
Most of the people while cooking bottle gourd they throw away the skin of it..but from now onwards don`t throw..follow this chutney recipe.i can promise you friends..that you will like this one.......try this and let me know..please......

Ingredients
bottle gourd pieces-1cup
skin of the bottle gourd-2cups(chopped)
tamarind paste-3tsps
green chillies-2
salt-to taste
turmeric-1/2tsp
garlic cloves-4
fresh coconut piece-small one
oil-2tsps

TO TEMPER
oil-1tsp
mustard-1/2tsp
cumin-1tsp
red chilli-2
urad dal-1tsp
curry leaves-1spring

Preparation
heat oil in a kadai and fry the bottle gourd pieces&skin with salt til it turns to soft..
take it out and keep it aside.
now in the same kadai add chopped chillies and fry well..
after it cools in a mixy jar add in tamarind,turmeric,garlic,coconut, bottle gourd pieces&skin and grind them into fine paste..
now add tempering items in the oil and fry well.add it to the chutney..
your tasty chutney is ready!!!!!!!!
serve with rice or roti..


NOTE
Instead of paste a small lemon size tamarind you can add to the chutney....
coconut piece gives nice taste to the chutney.....

CHOW CHOW CHUTNEY




CHOW CHOW (CHAYOTE)a very new vegetable for me.i didn`t listened the name even.
After coming here(brazil)i saw this vegetable in the super market.they used chow chow in vegetable soups-which is also called as sopa de verdura.in portugese its name is xu-xu.it tasted good in the soup.
Then i thought that to prepare a new varity with chow chow.making chutney with chow chow is a very easy and quick one.it tastes good with rice and even roti too.here is simple recipe..

Ingredients
chayote-1(medsize)
green chillies-4
ginger garlic paste(GGP)-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
tamarind paste-1tsp

TO TEMPER
oil-2tsps
asafoetida-a pinch
curry leaves-1spring
urad dal+chanadal-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
mustard-1tsp
red chili-1

Preparation
1.wash and chop the chayote into pieces and green chillies too.
2.heat in a pan add 1tsp of oil and fry the chayote pieces well.add salt,green chillies and GGP too.
3fry well til the chayote was cooked.it takes 5-8mins.after it cools grind it into fine paste along with tamarind paste.
4.now in a kadai add left over 1tsp oil and temper with tempering items under the table.mix this with grinded chayote.chutney is ready....

AMARANTHUS LEAVES CHUTNEY/GONGURA CHUTNEY/SIMPLE N QUICK ONE


This is the recipe which I have tried with gongura last week. I have already posted gongura pickle last few days back..that pickle can store for few months....but this is a simple chutney which means can use only for 2-3 days...this is a tangy and tasty chutney. to enjoy with hot white rice any time.....hope you will like this..iam sure........please try this and let me know...

Ingredients

gongura leaves/sorrel leaves-3 fistful
green chillies-4
salt-to taste
onion chopped-1
tomato chopped-1
asafoetida/hing-1/4 tsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp
oil-2 tbsp
Preparation

wash and keep aside the leaves.....

heat oil in the pan and cumin and hing..

and chillies,tomato and onions and fry well til they turns lightly mushy......

add in gongura too.........add in salt and cook for about just 3 more minutes......

after cools grind into fine paste........you can make tadka/popu if you like.

serve with hot rice.........
