Pachadi is one of the comforting side dish to serve with hot white rice..We south indian often prepares different kinds of pachadi recipes with variety of vegetables..  Pachadi is a telugu word which  means chutney actually..I often makes it with tomato,brinjal and coconut some times.. It is one of my favorite food which I love to have with rice along with combination of curd..

CURRY LEAVES SORREL LEAVES CHUTNEY/GONGURA KARIVEPAKU CHUTNEY | pachadi recipes for rice



I have already so many chutney recipes in my Space...and today this is going to add in my list as one of the best pickle...especially very healthy one.....I used sorrel leaves as the main ingredients and mixed it with curry leaves.Actually i saw this in a news paper....Those who loves tangy chutneys like me will sure like this one too....So,here goes it is......

Ingredients

Curry leaves-2 fistful
sorrel leaves-4fistful
tomatoes-2
green chilli-4
dates paste-2tsps
lemon-1
urad dal-2tsp
chana dal-1tsp
sesame seeds-3tsp

Preparation

Chop curry leaves and sorrel leaves finely..chop tomatoes and chillies...

Cook these all in a pan with very low flame by adding salt.........

dry roast the dals & sesame and grind into powder after cools......

Now add in cooked sorrel leaves mixture+dates mixture and grind it once again........

Take this in a bowl and add in lemon juice..mix well.......

Serve with hot rice/rotis.......


IMPORTANT POINTS

Whenever preparing any chutneys or especially pickles use completely dry utensils....Means they should not wet...

In this chutney we are using curry leaves,sorrel leaves and dates as main ingredients..these 3 contains iron....

Can refrigerate for 3-4 days only

CILANTRO PEANUT CHUTNEY


I usually make cilantro chutney and peanut chutney.sengihnampakgigi.......one day i saw this combination chutney in a cookery show.kenyit.i was impressed....and as soon as i tried it.....chutneys with hot steaming rice and a spoon ghee is a great combination na..senyumkenyit.....I just love this plate of meals...... anyway please please who loves chutneys like me give a try this....cium....and iam sure you people will remember me while having ur meals.......rindu



Ingredients

cilantro leaves chopped-2 bunches/3cups(approx)
peanuts-1cup
green chilli-4
red chilli-1
coriander seeds-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
urad dal/black gram-1tsp
hing-1 pinch
salt-to taste
oil-2tsps

Preparation

heat a kadai with oil add in cumin,black gram,hing,red chilli saute this for 30secs..........

add in green chilli,coriander,peanuts and fry for 3-5 minutes........

let it cool and grind into a fine paste.......

serve with rice or rotis.......

I love peanuts....love..whole the day i can enjoy the eating of toasted peanuts without feeling any boar....cium..from the past few days my hub too became like me..gatai...and enjoying the peanuts...jelir...and whenever he likes to eat he just blaming me........hehehehe...

CHOW CHOW CHUTNEY




CHOW CHOW (CHAYOTE)a very new vegetable for me.i didn`t listened the name even.
After coming here(brazil)i saw this vegetable in the super market.they used chow chow in vegetable soups-which is also called as sopa de verdura.in portugese its name is xu-xu.it tasted good in the soup.
Then i thought that to prepare a new varity with chow chow.making chutney with chow chow is a very easy and quick one.it tastes good with rice and even roti too.here is simple recipe..

Ingredients
chayote-1(medsize)
green chillies-4
ginger garlic paste(GGP)-1tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
tamarind paste-1tsp

TO TEMPER
oil-2tsps
asafoetida-a pinch
curry leaves-1spring
urad dal+chanadal-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
mustard-1tsp
red chili-1

Preparation
1.wash and chop the chayote into pieces and green chillies too.
2.heat in a pan add 1tsp of oil and fry the chayote pieces well.add salt,green chillies and GGP too.
3fry well til the chayote was cooked.it takes 5-8mins.after it cools grind it into fine paste along with tamarind paste.
4.now in a kadai add left over 1tsp oil and temper with tempering items under the table.mix this with grinded chayote.chutney is ready....

AMARANTHUS LEAVES CHUTNEY/GONGURA CHUTNEY/SIMPLE N QUICK ONE


This is the recipe which I have tried with gongura last week. I have already posted gongura pickle last few days back..that pickle can store for few months....but this is a simple chutney which means can use only for 2-3 days...this is a tangy and tasty chutney. to enjoy with hot white rice any time.....hope you will like this..iam sure........please try this and let me know...

Ingredients

gongura leaves/sorrel leaves-3 fistful
green chillies-4
salt-to taste
onion chopped-1
tomato chopped-1
asafoetida/hing-1/4 tsp
cumin seeds-1 tsp
oil-2 tbsp
Preparation

wash and keep aside the leaves.....

heat oil in the pan and cumin and hing..

and chillies,tomato and onions and fry well til they turns lightly mushy......

add in gongura too.........add in salt and cook for about just 3 more minutes......

after cools grind into fine paste........you can make tadka/popu if you like.

serve with hot rice.........
