Muruku or Chakli or Jantikalu, whatever the name is, this deep-fried snack is quite popular in India and favorite with so many people.Rice flour and fried chana dal are the main ingredients to make this murukku and there are many more varieties like butter version or using poha, oats, white flour even wheat flour.

Bajji is nothing but deep fried spicy snack which is quite popular on the south side of India. That too, especially banana bajji is quite famous in all over the places.Even, sometimes I too get green bananas in my place so I have an option to try those recipes. Though deep fries are oil consuming, it will be fine if you eat ones in a week😛

Muruku is a south indian popular snack which we try during festival times.It is a deep fried snack with rice flour using some spices for taste..I have already posted few different muruku recipes in blog and today sharing an innovative muruku recipe which is made with sweet potato.By modifying potato muruku recipe, tried this and result was so good.

I am rupali mother of two beautiful girls. I love to cook and serve food. I am very eager to learn new things ,recipes, parenting tips and much more related to parenting. I started hellomomy just for sharing all precious information i gathered about parenting ,food ,kids with everybody.
1. About you in few words which we don`t know?
Hi... Iam Rupali kadam and www.hellomomy.blogspot.com is my blog where i share about parenting ,food, recipes,lifestyle. Reading ,cooking and blogging are my hobbies. I m mother of two beautiful angles with whom i m learning,growing ,laughing and sharing all possible parenting tips on hellomomy.
2. 3 photography tips or kitchen tips?
Kitchen tips :
Baking soda is magic ingredient which helps in cleaning many kitchen stains. Use it by making paste with water for cleaning kitchen sink,taps.
For making crispy bhendi (lady finger) wash bhendi and cut it before few hours of making it. And spread it on on newspaper for frying. After few hours when its totally dry make crispy bhendi.
Keep half cut lemon in small bowl in corner of fridge. It removes food smell from fridge and keeps it fresh.
3. How to improve blog page views n fb page fans
Sharing posts more freequently on blogs helps to increase page views. As content is heart of blog , sharing valuable information helps to get more readers for blog. I am also trying and hopping everyday for getting more page views .
4. How food blog changed your Life n how many recipes you share per month?
I m good learner and i like to collect information about parenting .when i became parent i collected information about pregnancy ,baby care ,parenting tips from books ,doctors ,family ,friends ,fellow parents. I attended many workshops on parenting and pregnancy. I started hellomomy for sharing all the valuable information with everyone who needs it.i share 15 to 16 articles including kids recipes on hellommy every month.
- Few lines abt MLH (mahaslovelyhome)?
I love this mahaslovelyhome blog and all amazing recipe in it. All the recipes in this blog are interesting and very informative and show the hardwork behind it.
Its great pleasure for me to post my recipe in this blog. When maha has asked me to write guest post i took time from her. As my blog is about kids i post only kids /baby recipes in it and for guest post (in mahaslovelyhome) also i came up with kids recipe cheese bombs .
Thanks Mahas Iam grateful for giving me opportunity to write guest post in your lovely blog. I hope all will enjoy reading and making these easy cheese bombs recipe.
ABOUT RECIPE
Cooking Time :45 min
Ingredients:
Potato boiled and peeled 4 ,
Bread 2 slices,
Cheese cubes,
Green chili chopped 2,
Chili powder 1 tea spoon,
Coriander leaves chopped,
Ginger small piece,
Garlic cloves 4 to 5,
Oil for deep frying,
Salt as per taste,
Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon,
Cumin seeds powder 2 tea spoon,
Bread crumbs 1 cup.
Directions to Cook :
Boil , peel and mash potatoes.
Remove crust of bread slices and make small pieces of slices to add in mashed potatoes.
Run ginger ,garlic, chili, coriander in a mixer to get paste.
Mix green veggie paste ,bread pieces,mashed potatoes ,cumin powder ,salt and mix well to get firm dough as shown in pic.
Take small pieces of dough and keep small cheese cube in it. Make ball of potato dough while covering cheese cube inside it.
Roll potato ball in bread crumbs and deep fry these potato balls in oil.
Cheese bombs are ready to serve. Serve with sauce .

I love deep fried snacks with hot cup of chai..This cute cheese potato balls are perfect to serve with a hot of tea in the evening tea.Like she said that cheese is super twist to kids..Thank you for the easy yet delicious recipe Rupali... Paneer pakora | Spicy Paneer Fritters | How to make paneer pakoda with step by step images
Paneer is one of the popular food of Indians which used to cook various recipes...I have posted some of paneer recipes in MLH.. This is also another famous snack of paneer which goes well in tea time snack.paneer pakoda or paneer deep fried fritters are well goes as evening snack or like a party snack too.

CHANA DAL VADA/BENAL GRAM VADA/SENAGA PAPPU VADALU/ EASY SOUTH INDIAN TEA TIME SNACKS
bengal gram/senaga pappu-1cup
onion-1big
green chilli-4-5
salt-to taste
ginger-small piece
garlic pods-2(opt)
garam masala-1/4tsp
chat masala-1/2tsp(optional)
hing/asafoetida-2 pinches
Wash and soak dal for 3-4hrs........drain water and grind coarsely......
Chop onion finely and chillies too......add to the dal mixture.....
Now add in all other ingredients except oil......
Mix well and 1/2-3/4cup of water and prepare like a thick batter.....(Don`t add too much water,else you can`t give a perfect shape.adjust the water level as need)
Now wet your palm and take 2spoons of batter and give a round shape and fry in the oil....
Fry in medium heat and drain on a paper towel to remove the excess of oil.....
Continue this process to the remaining batter and serve hot with ketchup or along with lunch..

MYSORE BONDA | SOUTH INDIAN POPULAR BREAK FAST RECIPES
mysore bonda is one of the very tasty and very easy deep fried south indian snack to prepare.
it goes well in break fast time with coconut chutney also evening snack with a hot cup of tea.I have prepared it recently and it came out well..different people have different variations in doing this.check my version and let me know what you think...

PEAS PURI | Deep fried Green peas Stuffed Puri
FOR MAKING PURIS
all purpose flour/maida-1cup
2tsps-butter
salt-1 pinch
FOR STUFFING
peas-2cups(i used frozen)
fennel seeds-1tsp
very finely chopped onion-1small
green chilli paste-1tsp
sugar-1/2tsp
salt-to taste
pepper powder-1tsp
garam masala-1/2tsp
in the flour add salt and butter and make into a soft dough by adding water and rest it for 20 minutes....
wash and grind the peas coarsly......
heat a pan with a tsp of oil and add in fennel seeds,onions and grinded peas...fry well
add in chilli paste,pepper powder,salt and garam masala......
mix well and cook for just 2-3 minutes............with this the STUFFING is ready..
divide the dough into puri size balls and roll it in small round shape........
place the stuff about 1tsp and close by sticking the edges and roll it like puri very care fully.......
fry deeply in the hot oil and serve hot.......

BESAN CRACKERS WITH CILANTRO TOUCH | BESAN FLOUR RECIPES | CILNATRO RECIPES
Today iam introducing a spicy and hot crackers..
.this one is very easy to do and goes well as a evening snack for kids.
....In this you can add soaked chana dal too.but i skipped it
....here the recipe details goes..

Ingredients
wheat flour-2cups
besan flour/gram flour-1cup
green chilli paste-2tsps
cumin-1tsp
finely chopped cilantro-1/2cup
garam masala-1tsp
ginger garlic paste-1tsp
turmeric-1/2tsp
salt-to taste
chana dal-2tsps(i didn`t used)
oil-2tsps
oil-to deep fry
mix the two flours..
add in all other ingredients one by one.....add chandal too..but i didn`t added..
now add 2tsps of oil and water..make into a smooth and soft dough......
make into small balls and press on a polythin cover by applying oil little bit to the cover...

ALOO SAMOSA/POTATO SAMOSA-AWARD TIME
Ingredients
all purpose flour-1cup
oil-2tsps
water-as needed
salt-1 pinch
FOR STUFFING
mashed potatoes-2
boiled peas-1/2cup
GGP/ginger garlic paste-1tsp
finely chopped onion-1
cumin-1tsp
chilli powder-2tsps
salt-to taste
garam masala-1tsp
saunf/sompu-1tsp
oil-1tsp
oil-for deep frying
Preparation
In a mixing bowl add flour,salt and oil and make into a soft dough by adding water slowly...........
Heat oil in kadai add cumin........after it splutters add in GGP,saunf,onions,salt and fry til onions are soft........
Add in peas and chilli and garam masala powders too...........
Add in mashed potatoes too and mix well.............after it cools divide into same size balls.......
Divide the dough into equal size balls.........
Roll the dough ball into round circle.....Cut the circle into two semi circles........
place the potato ball and apply the water to the edges......and stick it from both sides..............
Now it will look in triangle shape......heat oil in a kadai.........
Fry the prepared samosas in medium flame til crispy and golden in colour................
Take the well fried samosas on a paper towel and serve warm with ketchup...........
