Yesterday posted sago lemon upma.Now,It`s another recipe of sago..This time iam sharing sago curd upma which is very easy and tasty dish for break fast times...The process is little bit different when you compare with regular curd rice and except soaking sago part,remaining recipe takes less than 20 minutes It`s a perfect recipe for dinner times to those who prefers low calorie meals..Try this next time and share your comments.

PREPARATION TIME- 30 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES
Sago/saggubiyyam/tapioca pearls- 1 cup
salt-to taste
green chilli-4-5
curd-1/2 cup
water-1/2 cup
lemon juice -1 tsp (optional)
Oil-1 -2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
red chili-2
hing-2 pinches (optional)
curry leaves-5-6
HOW TO COOK
Wash and soak sago for 1 hour..Soaking time quantity is depended on sago variety..Here,I soaked almost 2 hours..
Turn on heat under a non stick pan..Add oil and fry the ingredients which mentioned under oil...
Saute green chillis for half minute.Add water and let it boil.throw in salt and mix well.
While boiling add in sago and mix well..Then add curd and mix it..Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame and turn off.We are adding soaked sago,so it does n`t need much time, or cook until sago turns transparent.
Squeeze lemon juice if you like and mix once again..You can add cilantro leaves If you have.Serve hot with any pickle..

Mahas boys school declared holidays and up to february,home will be noisy..Nowadays,Iam unable to spend time with blog in the weekends.O.k..Lets talk little about the recipe..This is a simple sago upma which cooked with lemon touch..It`s a easy dish to prepare for break fast times or dinner times..Sago pearls very helpful to make this kind of simple upmas..I also tried 2 more recipes with sago and this week will share those ..For now,check this recipe and try it if you like..:)
PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES
Sago/saggubiyyam/tapioca pearls- 3/4 cup
salt-to taste
green chilli-4-5
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
lemon juice -1 tsp
Onion-1 small
peanuts-1 fist ful
Oil-1 -2 tbsp
mustard seeds-1/2 tsp
cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
red chili-2
hing-2 pinches (optional)
curry leaves-5-6

Throw in soaked sago without water...Add in turmeric powder,salt and mix well.

Ah...I think the love on mango is some thing which I can`t measure in the world...Hehehehe!! Every time I browse lot for mango recipes..Now I brought this another easy dessert for you all..Already posted some easy mango dessert recipes and this is going to join along with them...Generally I prefer recipes with simple ingredients,so you can cook my recipes easily in very less time...This pudding also very easy which can cook in 10-15 minutes,with only four ingredients, if the sago is ready..Specially Sago/sabudana lovers,sweet tooth people can try this variety for a change...Though I tried this for the first time,came out so good and if you serve after refrigerating for some time tastes delicious...Try next time and enjoy :)

COOKING TIME- 15 MINUTES
sago/Sabudana/Tapioca pearls-1/2 cup
mango -1 big fruit
powdered sugar-1/2 cup
milk-1 cup
Soak sago for one hour in 1 cup water...
Wash mango fruit,peel out the skin,cut into pieces...Blend into fine puree and take it into bowl...Add powdered sugar and mix nicely..
Turn on heat and put pan..Add in soaked sago and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame..
Put flame in low flame now and stir in between and add milk and mix nicely..It takes some time to cook sago completely..Don`t skip stirring...
Once the sago turns transparent turn off flame and wait until it cools.
Then add this cooked sago into mango puree and fold everything well..
Refrigerate for some time ans serve chilled..

Sago carrot kheer/sabudana carrot payasam/tapioca pearls carrot kheer/saggubiyyam carrot payasam/carrot javvarisi kheer with jaggery
I like sago/sabudana..........Amma rarely uses sago in cooking.....but i started using after coming here only.......I tried twice sago kheer and posted in blog too....This time for a change i added some carrots and instead of sugar added jaggery...if you are sweet tooth like me,start using jaggery more in the place of sugar...OK..check recipe and let me know how is it?
sago-1/2 cup
jaggery-1 cup (12 cup more if you are sweet tooth)
carrot coarse paste or grated-1/2 cup(i used paste)
cashew-5
cardamom powder-1 tsp
raisins-5
almonds-5
ghee-2 tbsps
milk-1/2 ltr
cardamom powder-1 tsp
HOW TO COOK
Wash and soak sago for 30 minutes..
Heat pan with 2 tsps ghee and fry cashews,almonds and raisins.Chop and grind carrot coarsely or grate it if you like.
Now add remained ghee in pan and roast carrot...then add milk and stir well..
Now add soaked sago and mix well.After 5 minutes add coarsely ground jaggery and fold it every thing well.
Add cardamom powder and cook for 10 minutes in low flame by stirring in between..finally add dry fruits n nuts..
Turn off and serve warm or cold...It`s delicious....

SAGO(SABUDANA) POTATO GREEN PEAS DEEP FRIED FRITTERS/SAGGUBIYYAM ALOO BATANI VADA/QUICK AND EASY INDIAN APPETIZERS/STEP BY STEP PICTURES
Coming to the matter,Iam leaving India tomorrow afternoon.India trip discussion was started in august and finally confirmed now.We have some functions and after that DH will be return in february ending and I will stay with kids upto may.Again in may second week DH will be there,then the whole family will be in foz:)
Even though Iam not there I want this blog in active mode always,so scheduled posts up to march and if I find some time sure will visit your blogs.But once after return to my sweet home will be super active in my two blogs.So,Hope,I enjoy this trip without facing any problems.Wish me all the best friends..:)

PREPARATION TIME-15 MNSCOOKING TIME-20 MNS
WHAT YOU NEED
Potato mashed-2 medium sized
fresh green peas-1 cup
sago/tapioca-1 cup
red chili powder-1 tsp
salt-to taste
turmeric-1/2 tsp
ginger garlic paste/GGP-1 tsp
cumin powder-1/2 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
garm masala-1/2 tsp
OIL-for deep frying
HOW TO COOK
Soak sago for 3-4 hrs(It depends on variety)..Then drain and keep in a bowl..
Grind fresh green peas into coarse paste and keep aside this..
Now in a bowl add mashed aloo,ground peas mix,GGP,drained sago,all spice powders and mix well to combine every thing..
After 10-15 minutes take lemon size ball and flatten it n shape it like pattie. Keep these all prepared patties aside. Keep aside this for few minutes n in mean while heat kadai with enough oil for deep fry..
Check the oil is hot or not by dropping a pinch of dough mix and If it is fine then start frying 4-5 patties at a time.
Fry well in medium flame and drain them on a kitchen towel..
Serve hot* with ketchup or with Tea in the evening time.... :)
MAHAS NOTES
You can add green leaves like cilantro or few chopped mint leaves..
If you have add chat masala or dry mango powder.
Mixture should be hard n thick little bit.means it should not stick to your palm.other wise patties need lots of oil to deep fry..
Combination of this INGS is really good..a worth try recipe...
you can add minced green chili or paste..
COOK SAFELY..EAT HEALTHY
