Iam back to blogging after 7 months exactly.. Hope I continue now without any absences.. Now,to the recipe,
Today Iam posting a paneer recipe which is very popular in india.. It is a famous dish in restaurants which used to serve along with rotis,naan or parathas generally.. It is an aromatic ,spicy gravy with sauted onions,tomatoes and rich in taste because of using cream and cashews..You can use fresh home made paneer but here i went with store bought ricotta cheese... Try it next time and serve with hot fried rice or rotis.. :)
PREPARATION TIME-15 MINUTES
COOKING TIME-20 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
Paneer/ Ricotta cheese - 250 grams
Tomato- 2 big size
Cashew nuts -10
Cardamom green - 2
cloves-3
cinnamon stick-1 inch
Onion -1 big
Red chilly powder-1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder -1/2 teaspoon
Garam masala powder -1/2 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Dry fenugreek/methi leaves -1/2 teaspoon
Vegetable oil -3 table spoons
fresh cream-2 table spoons
In a pan add 1 table spoon oil,throw Cardamom green,cloves,cinnamon stick and chopped onion,tomato, ginger garlic paste and cashew nuts. Cook it on medium flame until tomato turns mushy.. Add chili powder,little bit salt,turmeric powder in the tomato mixture.turn off and let it cool..Then using some water grind into fine paste..
Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon oil and temper with cumin seeds, when it crackles add ground paste and remaining salt for taste along with 1 cup of water. Cook it on medium heat till oil comes separately.
