oil-2tsps
mustard-1tsp
cumin-1tsp
chanda dal-1tsp

heat kadai with oil and fry the tempering ingredients..
fry chopped onions mix once and add in salt....this makes to cook onions fast......
now add in chopped bottle gourd and turmeric and cover with lid..
after3-4 minutes you can see the water in the curry.........those water helps to cook fast the pieces.....
if need add 1/2cup of water and add in chilli powder too...
after the pieces are cooked well mash some pieces with spoon and add in soda.
now add milk and cook for 5-6 minutes and off the flame.......
tasty BOTTLEGUARD CURRY WITH MILK is ready to serve.........
serve with hot rice..i promise you friends..surely you will love this.........
add green chilli instead of chilli powder for a variation.
adding soda helps to not break the milk.........other wise you can add the milk directly also..
but dont cook for long time.milk will break and it not tastes good.
nice..........i usually make ridge gaurd(torai)like this...now i'll try it with lauki too!thanks.
