Palak prawns is in my to do list from a long time..But every time I missed one in the both main Ingredients..This is the time to get spinach here and luckily I have some frozen prawns too..In the afternoon time I tried this recipe and it need only half an hour time too cook and worth try dish too.Especially those who loves prawns and spices..I served this with rotis in the dinner time.Even I votes this recipe and highly stress you all to try at least once..Definitely,you and your family will like this PALAK PRAWNS...Believe me...

WHAT YOU NEED
De veined Prawns-20 med size
spinach -1 med size bunch
onion-1 med size
tomato-1 med size
red chilli powder-1 tsp
salt- to taste
ginger garlic paste-1 tsp
turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
garam masala-1 tsp
coriander powder-1/2 tsp
cumin powder-1/2tsp
*yogurt/curd-1/4 cup
lemon juice-1 tsp(opt)
TO TEMPER
Oil-2 tsps
black cumin-1 tsp
fennel seeds-1/2 tsp(opt)
cloves-4
cinnamon stick-1"inch
cardamom pods opened-3-4
curry leaves-1 sprig
HOW TO COOK
Wash prawns twice and keep in a colander.Wash and chop onion,tomato and spinach....
Now heat a woke with oil and saute spices in low flame for 1 minute.
Then add onions and fry for few minutes or until shrink...then add spinach and mix well....Cook for one more minute and continue with tomato..Mix every thing well..
Add chilli powder,salt,GGP,turmeric and mix..Cook for 3-5 mins in medium flame..
Now throw in prawns and mix..Keep lid and cook in medium-low flame for 8-10 minutes...
Now add yogurt and mix...Cook for 2-5 minutes..
Finally add in garam masala and coriander powder.Mix up every thing and after 2 more minutes off flame..
Serve hot with hot rice or rotis..Before going to serve add lemon juice if you like.
MAHAS NOTES
You can blend spinach and use puree.But we are calling this as *PALAK* PRAWNS.So,I feel It`s better to add chopped one.
Yogurt also important in the gravy making.so don`t skip it..
I squeezed fresh lemon juice after turning off.Spice and tangy combination is awesome.
