Chicken curries or gravies goes well with roti. So, I try different recipes most of the times to serve for dinner. This is Lucknowi style chicken curry with very few ingredients. this recipe calls for a large amount of Garlic and there is no tomato or coconut like regular chicken curries.

WHAT YOU NEED
onions-1 big size
garlic cloves-10
yoghurt -1/2 cup
oil -2-3 -1 tablespoon
chicken with bone (or boneless )-300 grams
red chilli powder-1-2 teaspoon
salt to taste
turmeric powder-1 teaspoon
coriander powder-1 teaspoon
cumin powder-1 teaspoon
Kasoori methi-1 teaspoon
cumin powder-1 teaspoon
garam masala -1 teaspoon
HOW TO COOK
Heat a non-stick vessel, add oil then add finely chopped onions. and garlic cloves. Fry for 5 minutes in medium flame and take it into mixie jar.
Now to this add yoghurt and grind into a fine paste.
Now heat the same vessel, add oil and add washed chicken. Stir gently and cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.
Then add ground paste, mix well. Now add red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, Kasoori methi, cumin powder, garam masala and mix well.
Add 2 cups of water, close with a lid and cook in low flame for 15-20 minutes., until chicken turns soft.
