IDLY/ IDLI/HOW TO MAKE IDLI/SOUTH INDIAN FAMOUS IDLI/HOW TO MAKE PERFECT IDLI

I know this is a very common recipe to you all...........But i just want to share with you all..............this is my version of making idlis..........

Ingredients

para boiled rice/idly rice-2cups
urad dal/black gram-3/4cup-1cup
salt-to taste
water-as needed
soda-1/2tsp
atukulu/rice flakes-1 fist ful(optional)
fenugreek seeds1/2tsp
Preparation

For IDLY making i prefers para boiled rice.it is small and round in shape......

wash and soak the dal+ fenu greek seeds and rice separately over night other wise at least for 6-8hrs.........

grind into a smooth paste using little bit of water.........

I prefers to grind dal first and rice continues with dal............

after grinding the dal and rice mix well.....add in salt too............and rest it for over night in a warm place..........or at least 8hrs...

in the next day morning you can see the batter will double in quantity..........because the fermentation takes place in the over night.......

you can mix the batter once add in rice flakes and make soft idlys in the idly stand.........

prepare the idly`s for break fast and serve with peanut chutney or coconut chutney......
