Dhaba Style Recipes are always inspiring to cook..Especially non veg dishes like mutton and chicken recipes tastes so good when you try with patience.Though the process is simple and easy, slow cooking in low flame takes huge time to cook the dish..
I have already posted Bhuna Mutton Recipe last few years back in blog which is cooked in restaurant style and this is little bit different from that which cooked in dhaba style..Mutton with bone takes longer time when you cook in vessel so to save time cooked this in pressure cooker.But actually,in dhaba style cooking you need to use thick bottomed vessels and always cook in low flame.This mutton curry tastes so good you might get request to make it again from your family and friends...

PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
COOKING TIME- 30-40 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
1/2 kg- mutton with bones 1 tablespoon- ginger & garlic paste salt-to taste 1 tea spoon- cumin powder 1 tea spoon coriander powder 2 tablespoons- red chili powder 1 teaspoon- garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon- turmeric powder 1/4 cup oil 2 medium size tomatoes 2 medium size onions (peeled) 1/2 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves 4 to 5 green chilies (optional)
1/3 cup yogurt/curd 1 lime or lemon for garnish
Whole Garam masala Ingredients
1 tea spoon- cumin seeds
cloves-3
cardamom pods-2
bay leaf-1
pepper corns-1 tea spoon
staranise-1 flower
javithri flower-1 small size
HOW TO COOK
Wash mutton 2-3 times,remove fat and keep aside.
Heat a pressure cooker with oil,Throw in whole garam masala ingredients.Saute for few seconds and add chopped onions,ginger garlic paste and fry well till onions turns brown in color..
Now add washed mutton,mix well.Mean while,chop and grind tomatoes into fine puree.
In the cooker,add red chili powder,salt,coriander+cumin powders,turmeric powder and mix gently..
Then add tomato puree,curd,mix well and cook for 5 minutes..Now add 2 cups of water and close with lid,pressure cook for 30-40 minutes in medium flame or upto 5-6 whistles..Then turn off,add cilantro leaves,stir gently,check the taste and serve hot with rice or chapathi.
