O.k..Lets start talking about the recipe..Most of the boggers know very well, that I bakes often and shared many cakes which are egg less and specially butter less.in very few recipes I have used butter other wise most of the baked goodies of mine are butter free..I use olive oil always and loves to experiment without egg.Though I don`t have any issues with egg, came to know that most of the people searches for egg free recipes. So,this recipe also dedicating to those who loves egg less cakes. Zebra cake or marble cake is in mind from a long time, but always post pones because of bit long process. So,last week the day was came and baked this beauty.Actually first though to create a banana peanut butter cake, but for kids replaced PB with coca and resulted this cake.making Zebra cake is really fun,if you are little bit careful and patience.Though it is egg less cake turned out very soft and moist.Try it next and share your experiences with us .

PREPARATION TIME- 20 MINUTES
BAKING TIME- 40 MINUTES
WHAT YOU NEED
ripe bananas or 2 medium sized bananas-1 cup puree
wheat flour-11/4 cup
baking soda-1 tsp
(I used) brown sugar-1/2 cup or white sugar-3/4 cup
(I used) olive oil-2 tbsp or canola oil or any cooking oil
pinch of salt
vanilla essence-1 tsp
un sweetened cocoa powder-1/4 cup or 4 tbsp (if it is best brand)
3 % fat milk -1/3 cup or almond milk for vegan version (room temperature)
hot water-6 tbsp
2-3 tbsp melted dark chocolate (optional)
HOW TO COOK
Preheat oven at 200 degree c.Grease baking tin or oven safe bowl with butter or oil and dust with flour. or line it with parchment paper and grease with oil lightly. This helps to avoid sticking cake in the bottom.
In a big mixing bowl, add milk, vanilla, olive oil, sugar, banana puree and mix well.now sift whole flour, baking soda and salt. Give it a gently mix again .
Divide the batter into two parts in separate bowls. To the one part add 3 tbsp of hot water and mix it to combine every thing.
{Now two batters -chocolate and banana are ready to use.Once wet and dry ingredients are mixed, have to work quickly. Don’t leave prepared batter outside for long time.}
Take a dollop of any one of the batter and put in the prepared tin. Then put a dollop of another batter. Arrange the entire batter alternatively into cake tin to give marble effect.
{Now take a tooth pick or knife and swirl it into the batter gently for swirl effect. Gently tap the cake tin,to set everything is evenly.} I skipped this step...
Bake it in preheated for 35 to 40 minutes. Use a toothpick to check whether your cake is done or not.
Let the cake cool off completely and pour some melted chocolate over it if you like Serve a slice with coffee or milk.
